“You know where you’ve been, but you don’t know where you’re going” is Mama Roberts (a retired nursing assistant) most used adage.  The drama collides with humorous behavior in the home of Mama Roberts.  Dementia has restricted her strong will and independence as she relies on her oldest daughter Paulette (who hasn’t worked in 5 years) and grandson Steven (uncertain about his future) to care for her.  Mama Roberts disapproves of their promiscuous behavior under her roof, but has little control due to the loss of her mental capacity.  Paulette’s man-friend Percy (waiting for a big settlement) is an activist and skeptic.  Steven’s girlfriend Angela (an aspiring writer) is willing to defer her future for the love of her life.  Resentment intertwined with jealousy occurs when Mama Roberts’ youngest daughter Sonya (snobbish, studious, and sophisticated) and grandson Milton (naive adolescent) come to visit.  In the midst of turmoil, Mama Roberts still knows how to hat-up in her state of confusion.

“Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” 1 Timothy 5:8
